About

Our History

NWFF is an environmental company that has been operating since 1989. It started in Philomath, Oregon as a wild land fire-fighting service, which is why it is known as “North West firefighters” or NWFF. NWFF also has a marine branch that can handle oil spills in coastal and inland waters. The U.S. Coast Guard and the Washington State Department of Ecology have approved NWFF as a qualified response organization for marine spills. NWFF has dealt with various types of spills, such as PCB, dielectric oil, diesel, and tanker trucks. NWFF works with different customers, both public and private, to provide them with customized spill response solutions.
In 2018, NWFF changed ownership and expanded its environmental services. The new owners have credentials and expertise in the Occupational Safety field. NWFF now offers Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Training, and Emergency Planning services. In 2019, NWFF acquired Environmental Contracting Solutions, Inc (ECS), a company from Kodiak, Alaska that offers health, safety and environmental consulting.
