Confined Space Rescue
Confined spaces attributed to more than 50 deaths from 2008-2018. All these deaths were preventable, avoidable and resulted in a loved one not coming home. NWFF is passionate in helping our clients avoid workplace injuries, workplace accidents and most of all, worker fatalities.
A space is defined by OSHA as a “Confined Space” if it is large enough and so configured to bodily enter, has limited entry & egress and is not intended for human occupancy. NWFF specializes in Entry, Oversight and the required Industrial Rescue positions for any confined space that may be encountered. NWFF is the industry leader in Confined Space. The company utilizes the latest atmospheric air monitoring technology, employ the OSHA hierarchy of controls and have policies to perform an assessment.
We take confined spaces seriously. NWFF designed and built a 20 foot confined space tower at our corporate office that staff use for continual training. In addition to maintaining a highly trained labor force, the company’s oversight is conducted by a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Shipboard Competent Persons (SCP) to ensure the highest level of safety and project integrity in the industry.
NWFF follows 29CFR1910.146 (Federal Standards), State Specific Plans (e.g. OR437-002-0146) and Best Management Practices (BMPs) for a dynamic approach to Confined Space safety.
